Spine slightly faded, else a binding in fine condition. Bound with the original wrappers. Autographed dates of birth and death (1664-1724) of l'abbé de Choisy on front wrapper. This man performed as transvestite in high society til someone told him to stop. Later on he "saw the light", became a priest and member of the French Academy. These texts about Choisy as a women were probably unpublished til 1870 when Paul Lacroix published them in Paris.
